40th Annual Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee

We are celebrating the 40th HISTORIC PENDLETON SPRING JUBILEE  April 1 - 2, 2017!  This year, we will kick off Spring Jubilee on March 31 with a Friday Street Dance on the Village Green, also known as "The Square".  Come join the fun Friday evening while artists set up their tents to prepare for Saturday's 10 a.m. opening.  Jubilee, which is FREE to attend, began in 1978 as a means to inaugurate tourism in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties, and has become so much more. It is a rite of spring, an award-winning event, a premier festival of the upstate and a source of pride for the community.
2014_Lee_2D Mixed MediaArtisans from across the country have competed for the coveted 100 spaces. Here are the successful entries for  2017 Spring Jubilee.  Due to the festival’s reputation for consistency and quality, thousands of people will pour into historic Pendleton to see what is new or to hunt for old favorites. As patrons peruse unique, one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, live entertainment will fill the air with music, and local food vendors will tempt you with smells of delicious foods. A bonus of yielding to these delicious temptations is that a percentage of all food vendor sales are donated to local non-profits.  Many of the food vendors are non-profits themselves, so 100% of their profits support the worthy causes they represent.

Another first for Spring Jubilee 2017 - Anmed Health is sponsoring a special Kid's Area where activities will include milking Clarabelle, the life-sized milking cow from the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina, a balloon artist (be sure to check the schedule), make-your-own musical instruments, and other arts and crafts.  Activities vary throughout the weekend, so check the schedule, which will be available at the Information Booth in the old Guard Hous.

If you need a hotel room, check out those who have offered special rates for Spring Jubilee's visitors below.

2016_BuffaloBarfieldInclement weather does not stop the show. Spring rains and winds may dampen the grounds, but the shoppers come because they know they can purchase quality one-of-a-kind creations.

The event has earned respect throughout the years by being twice named the BEST FESTIVAL IN SOUTH CAROLINA IN A COMMUNITY OF LESS THAN 3000, a TOP 100 EVENT by the American Bus Association and multi-winner of the TOP TWENTY IN THE SOUTHEAST by the Southeast Tourism Society, which was awarded again this year!

Come be a part of an award-winning weekend in a beautiful historic setting!
