The town square of Pendleton comes straight out of a storybook. Locals call it the green because of the beautiful green lawn in the center of this lovely downtown. Here, there are several shops and restaurants to see including:

Pendleton is also home to two historic houses, Woodburn and Ashtabula, that offer a glimpse back in time. To see their hours and schedule a tour, click here.
While in town, you’ll also want to stop by the Agricultural Museum of South Carolina. Even if you aren’t a farmer, this place is awesome. There are several indoor and outdoor exhibits that educate visitors on the past, present, and future of agriculture. You’ll also get a chance to meet some animal friends! The museum houses some very friendly pigs and chickens that would love to meet you.
If you’re looking for a trail to explore, Fant’s Grove is a great area to check out. There are several miles of trails that are accessible via hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. They offer great views of nearby pastureland as well as Lake Hartwell.
